For domestic use. Gate automation involves heavy moving parts and mains electricity — the 230 V connection and the motor set-up must be carried out by a qualified electrician/installer, and the system must be fitted with the safety devices it requires (safety edges, photocells and force limiting) so a closing gate cannot trap or crush a person, child or pet. Set posts and automated gates on proper foundations. Fence posts must be concreted or anchored to stand up to wind. CE marked. The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies to consumers.
